Telephone Town Hall
A telephone town hall is an Engage Voters US managed live event bringing together targeted voters in an engaging experience where their voices are heard and questions are answered. This live engagement is an opportunity for voters and the campaign to connect and to communicate with the opportunity to poll attendees, seek volunteers & donations as well as set the stage for online follow up. Comprehensive reporting, recordings and wrap up data become a roadmap for the campaign.
The Telephone Town Hall - “The Show”
With a minimum of 2 staff members on your Telephone Town Hall, we keep a lively and fast-paced event resembling a radio talk show.
The best way to keep most people on the phone is to keep it short and simple. A radio show is supposed to be fun, informative and something people want to stay tuned into.
We’ll set up a call-in number that will be used to invite more people to attend a scheduled town hall event. This number will be reserved for the campaign for 1 or multiple town hall events.
We work with you to fine-tune the message and "call to action" so they relate specifically to the goals of the candidate & campaign. A show is successful when it's created with the audience in mind. It should be focused on what people want to hear and what you can offer them. Every candidate has a different style and persona. We facilitate the connection between the candidate and the audience.
The voters have the opportunity to ask questions directly to their candidates (all questions are pre-recorded and transcribed in real-time). The candidate has the opportunity to share their story, their positions, and their goals with voters in a live call environment.
Direct Engagement
We set a time & date for the Telephone Town Hall event. At start time we call everyone and immediately bring them into the live event. We welcome guests and immediately encourage them to submit a question. All questions are transcribed in real time and available for review prior to bringing live to the candidate.
The candidate is introduced and begins their brief opening remarks.
You’ll have a minimum of TWO STAFF MEMBERS on your call. We will host the show and keep the energy and pace going. We’ll immediately get into questions which will be asked live by selected voters.
In between questions and candidate answers, we ask a variety of questions to the audience asking them to respond in real time.

The event lasts up to 1 hour depending upon participation. More frequently than not, we’re right at an hour or just over an hour.
DATA
There are two options when it comes to data; OUR DATA or YOUR DATA
We can use campaign supplied data files for the Telephone Town Hall. When using campaign supplied data, we’ll check your numbers (free of charge) and confirm your valid landline count ahead of confirming services.
We provide voter data basic and enhanced for maximum landline count. As with using campaign data, we’ll confirm valid landline count ahead of confirming services. Also, as with all data purchases, we deliver the data for campaign use.
Regardless of data source, we can also use a segment of a data file based on more or more attributes. This allows for micro-targeting part of the overall file.
The Telephone Town Hall - Reporting
The campaign will receive the detailed Excel Report Package within one business day of the event. These reports will provide lists of all questions asked (with recording), The contact information of each person asking questions, summaries of any polling questions or requests to volunteer, donate or get lawn signs.
The campaign will also receive a recorded copy of the event.
Telephone Town Hall - Pre-Event Campaigns
We recommend using the reserved “call in” in any printed mail and/or social media and/or texting campaigns in the leadup to the town hall.
Telephone Town Hall - Follow Up Campaigns
We recommend using the wrap up data to continue Voter Engagement;
